Wikipedia:Consensus edit

Hi. When an article is protected with the comment, please gain consensus on the talk page, it really does mean gain consensus. It does not mean just add stuff back in and edit away merrily without gaining consensus. You may also consider using the teahouse. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:02, 24 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Johnnyyiu, you are invited to join other new editors and friendly hosts in the Teahouse. The Teahouse is an awesome place to meet people, ask questions and learn more about Wikipedia. Please join us!

@Billinghurst: Hi. I am reverting the article back to a neutral version per WP:BLP NPOV while discussion of the new content is being debated, and before a consensus is being reached. I created a note on the Talk page. Thanks. Johnnyyiu (talk) 11:27, 24 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Umm, that is not a neutral page. I had reverted to the page that Gorilla Warfare had protected, so we will go with my fellow administrator's judgement if that is okay. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:54, 24 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Discretionary sanctions alert edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Note edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in pseudoscience and fringe science.

This set of sanctions also applies to the article on Langan. Guy (help!) 11:53, 16 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
