Welcome! edit

Hello, JohnnyRonan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to G2A does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Kleuske (talk) 06:19, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, JohnnyRonan. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Padgriffin Griffin Noises 14:25, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

COI concerns edit

Hi JohnnyRonan. As you can see above, there are concerns you might have a conflict of interest (click me!) with G2A. Editors with a conflict of interest are allowed to edit Wikipedia and it is recommended that they disclose their COI. However, if an editor is paid to edit Wikipedia they must disclose their paid-status, as outlined in WP:PAID. If you have been given money to edit their Wikipedia page by G2A, or by any other company, then you are considered to have a paid-status. Have you been paid to edit G2A? If you declare a paid status below, an editor will help ensure you comply with Wikipedia policy. If you have any questions, please post on the help desk (click me!). Thanks and happy editing! Hey Z1720! Thanks for reaching out. I can confirm that I’m an existing G2A employee. Over the last six months, I’ve attempted to add some additional, background information about the company and its business practices to this article. All of this content has been fully referenced with third-party sources. If helpful, moving forward, I’m very happy to suggest any future edits as comments for your consideration, rather than making any changes directly. Please just shout if you have any questions. Hi JohnnyRonan, thanks for disclosing your conflict of interest. As stated in WP:COIEDIT, "you are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly" (their emphasis). I suggest that, for future edits, you use request edit template. You can find instructions on how to use it at Template:Request edit/Instructions. If you need help using it, or have any questions, please use the help desk.
I suggest that you read (or reread) WP:COI. You can officially disclose your conflict of interest by following a template at WP:DISCLOSE. I have added one such disclose template to Talk:G2A which you can reuse. The help desk is always available if help is needed.
I have tagged G2A with a "paid contributor" notice so that an editor will review the article. It is great that you referenced your work with third-party sources, but editors also need to ensure the article follows a WP:NPOV. This tag will ask an editor without a conflict of interest to confirm that the article follows this policy. If you have any questions, please post on the help desk, or you can post below and I will try my best to respond. Thanks and happy editing! Z1720 (talk) 03:14, 13 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I've noticed that the G2A entry has received two very negative tags. Is there any way these can be removed, like by editing the entry so that it meets the standards? Can you suggest which parts of the article are considered "marketing material" by Wiki so that I can remove them and improve the entry?
