Recreation of deleted article - Phyllis Busansky edit

Please do not recreate articles that the Community have just decided to delete through an AfD. Further repetitions could result in you being blocked from editing. BlueValour 00:37, 9 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

An alternative to creating an article about a lesser candidate is to create an article about the Congressional race itself; you can put a redirect at the candidate's name that sends readers to that campaign article.
If you do create such an article, it's best to use an existing article as a starter (that is, to copy everything from the article, then edit it to change it to the correct race: for example, you might start with New York 20th congressional district election, 2006.
If you do this, it's appropriate to put a {{main|campaign article name}} (without the nowiki tags I've used here, if you look at the underlying text) link in the appropriate section of the candidates (take a look at any incumbent Senator facing reelection this year, for example), to link each candidate to the campaign article. Please note the following:
(a) I had nothing to do with the removal of the Phyllis Busansky article, as you can see if you check the record of voting.
(b) It is NOT possible to put this article back - the namespace is permanently protected.
(c) While I don't agree with the decision, I'm not going to help appeal it or try to reverse it.
(d) I am in the process of creating an article about the Congressional race (as I had suggested you do). Please do NOT try to add back all of the material on Phyllis Busansky that was deleted when the article was removed. Much of it does NOT meet wikipedia criteria for inclusion. What WILL be in wikipedia will be a balanced article where people can see that this is a competitive race, and there WILL be a link from the Republican (frontrunner) article to the campaign article.
(e) PLEASE sign your name using four tildes (~) in the future - it's quicker than typing out your name; it adds date/time info; and it provides an easy way to get to your user space. (Wikipedia converts the tildes when you preview or save.) John Broughton 20:29, 9 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
The article is at Florida 9th congressional district election, 2006. Again, please do NOT consider this a campaign page for each candidate. I do encourage you to add links to newsarticles and other sources where readers can find more info and judge for themselves. You'll note that the existence of this article comes close to leveling the field between the two candidates. And, arguably, the Gus Bilirakis article should itself be deleted for lack of noteworthyness, but I'm not personally going to go there. John Broughton 21:45, 9 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
