Speedy deletion nomination of Partsearch technologies edit

A tag has been placed on Partsearch technologies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I recommend that you review the Business' FAQ before recreating an article about the company you work for. It answers many of the questions you have about writing an article on your company. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:04, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: The article you created had an advertising tone with things like your website statistics. I suggest that you read the Business' FAQ as pointed out in my previous message to you. It is not a good idea to write an article for the company you work for. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:09, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
While it is not as promotional as before, a promotional tone remains. You must remember that you are writing for an encyclopedia, not a business directory. Please remember also that articles on businesses must assert and sustain notability in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines through the use of significant third-party references. And, as I pointed out, and as others have pointed out, we discourage editors from writing about their employers, as it is difficult to maintain objectivity. thank you. i have edited the page about partsearch to meet that criteria based on the business faq.

It's entirely unreferenced and still does not indicate compliance with WP:CORP. References should be non-trivial coverage in major third-party publications with a reputation for fact-checking, preferably of a national standing. References to Partsearch are permissible to verify factual statements, but are not sufficient to establish and sustain notability. Acroterion (talk) 18:55, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Partsearch Technologies edit

The article Partsearch Technologies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable organisation. Was speedied only a few hours ago and recreated by the same editor (who works for the organisation). Sources are not reliable. Major promotional piece. (Would not object to A7.)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Orphaned non-free image File:Partstore logo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading File:Partstore logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:34, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
