I'm very open to discussion, especially constructive criticism (I don't really know what I'm doing). One thing I'm pretty uptight about is the idea of 'compliance,' so most of my [non-article-writing] edits are always going to be to bring the article closer to WP guidelines, not to make the article 'closer to how I want it.' If I've made edits that are; contrary to WP style, contrary to WP guidelines, against other policies (there are a lot!), miss the 'spirit' of a WP guideline, or otherwise hurt more than they help, I encourage the reader to let me know (preferably here?).
