License tagging for Image:Studio.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Studio.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:10, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Marvellous.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading Image:Marvellous.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by an adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Booglamay (talk) 13:20, 8 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Marvellous festivals edit

As well as the above notice on image rationale, I have overhauled the Marvellous Festival article. This is because it was written with a very biased point-of-view. From your Bebo page (remember that your user page isn't for self-advertising) I can see that you're in some way affiliated with the festival. While this isn't prohibited in Wikipedia, you should be very careful when editing articles you are involved with - so not to create a conflict of interest. It seems that this website has provided a large stimulus of the article's content. Again, paraphrasing isn't prohibited - but if you're going to re-word published text, you MUST cite your sources. Proposed deletion of File:LionheartMaster.jpg edit

The file File:LionheartMaster.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free logo, not an own work.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Rob13Talk 04:46, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
