Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Forecasting ‎. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Kuru (talk) 12:30, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

April 2015

Information icon Hello, I'm Stesmo. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of List of sculpture parks. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Stesmo (talk) 00:02, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Forecasting ‎. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Speedy deletion nomination of Sculpture Park Engelbrecht

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sculpture Park Engelbrecht requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. External sources of information on the sculpture park are sufficiently documented in the chapter "Sources" at the bottom of the page.
In addition, the private website for Erich Engelbrecht's works, including the sculpture park, is also listed under "Sources", and pictures of them can be seen at:
https://fr.engelbrecht.art/parc/parc-de-sculptures
The technical information indicated here comes from the collaboration of the author ( myself) as technical advisor of the artist in the installation of the sculpture park between 2002 and 2011 as well as voluntary assistant of the widow Engelbrecht in the elaboration of a catalogue of works and monographic publication.
Additional information about films and other publications about the artist and the sculpture park could also be included, but have been withheld for simplification.
For your information, I am not an heir of Erich Engelbrecht, I simply contribute to the dissemination of information about his work on a voluntary basis.
In order to publish an article on or images about Erich Engelbrecht's work in 2018, I had - in accordance with the German copyright laws - to obtain permission from his image rights holder.
The indicated account is used only by me.
I have arranged with Wikimedia for the publication rights for the images published here. For this, I was asked in 2018 to send a statement from the person responsible for the image rights of Erich Engelbrecht.
Such authorisation was sent in summer 2018, signed by the creator as well as the former manager of Erich Engelbrecht's image rights...
The plan of the park comes from my personal archive.
The image is by an heiress of Erich Engelbrecht, as is indicated in the information registered with Wikimedia.
Therefore there is no reason, in my opinion, why this page about the sculpture park Erich Engelbrecht and the artist should be deleted and my account blocked. Jjdeav (talk) 14:23, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
The message in this section was about a speedy deletion nomination in 2016; I'm happy to see that it has finally been read, but you don't need to worry about this specific notification: The nomination was declined back in 2016. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:28, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, Jjdeav. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Sculpture Park Engelbrecht, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 12:55, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

(You have practically already answered this message by creating your user page with a disclosure, and in Special:Diff/1076897676. No worries from my side, and thank you for having taken the time to answer these concerns. As you do have a conflict of interest, the advice above does apply to you, though.) ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:33, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Who is "we"?

edit

Hi Jjdeav, your use of plural personal pronouns when referring to yourself is unusual. Before continuing to edit, please clarify who "we" is. Do you represent an organization? Do multiple people have access to the Wikipedia account "Jjdeav"? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:01, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ah, thank you for creating the page User:Jjdeav with a disclosure. Okay then: Please do not edit the article Sculpture Park Engelbrecht directly anymore. If you'd like to request edits, please click the "Talk" tab above the article, then "request corrections or suggest content" in the orange warning box. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:03, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
https://en.engelbrecht.art/parc/sculpture-parc
Jjdeav (talk) 13:57, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Welcome to the English Wikipedia. By "Löschung dieser Seite" ("deletion of this page"), I hope you're referring to the removal of the URL from the infobox of the article. The article itself is not up for deletion; the message about a "speedy deletion nomination" above from Theroadislong is outdated and was declined back in 2016.
So regarding the content of the infobox, which appears to be disputed (Special:Diff/1076861106, Special:Diff/1076871864), you are encouraged to start a discussion at Talk:Sculpture Park Engelbrecht, ideally providing independent secondary sources that directly support the material you propose to be re-added (cf. WP:BURDEN, part of the verifiability policy). Thank you ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:18, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
The information shown in the infobox, corresponds to the situation at the time of creation of this page.
The person indicated as responsible was at the time the executor of Erich Engelbrecht estate and therefore the "Director" of this exhibition.
After 2018, no other responsible person has been appointed.
Furthermore, this long-term exhibition is divided into two groups, with the interior exhibition consisting of a personal loan from Waltraud Engelbrecht and other private collectors.
The main intention in not accepting the change is to avoid a disguised advertising in which the named association takes monetary profit from this exhibition by demanding a monetary contribution from third parties wishing to visit the place. Monetary benefit that is not transmitted to the heirs of Erich Engelbrecht.
It would not be possible for people who have not collaborated with the artist or his wife, to present the information available on this page, which contains mainly elements from my personal archive about the artist. Jjdeav (talk) 14:59, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
