Message to new user

I am somewhat doubtful about your edit to User talk:Ravimy. We are clearly dealing with a user who does not understand Wikipedia standards in connection with such issues as reliable sources, but I cannot possibly see the message he posted to you as a personal attack. Net not nett in AmE and BrE

Dear Pleasant,

I finally noticed the message you sent me. D'oh. It IS net in American and UK English. I am a professional editor and proofreader; I take part in an active mailing list of editors from all over the world. I consulted my colleagues and was told that nett used to be a variant spelling in the UK, but has dropped out of use there and now survives only in Indian English. This is from UK editors.

The standard for the English Wikipedia is either AmE or BrE. InE is not a standard. Insisting on a spelling that is peculiar to InE and looks wrong to the majority of WP readers is not OK. Zora (talk) 21:08, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

Re: July 2013

Dear Pleasant1623, Seeing the extend of plagiarism in the movie Barfi!, many Indian Media publications wrote articles about it. And even TV news channels had telecasted shows abut the plagiarism in that movie. Many bloggers had blogged about the same. So I thought there should be a "criticism(controversy)" section in the article on Wikipedia. I edited the article Barfi! and added a criticism section with the allegations, response of the director and also proper references. Then you undid my edits giving "Sorry, already mentioned" as the reason. So I gathered all the mentions of the criticism(controversy) from different sections within the article and wrote a better criticism section. I thought this will satisfy you, since you had complained that the things were being repeated. Then again you undid my edits (calling the action as a minor edit) and wrote "Since the controversy column is small, there is no need to create a separate section" as an explanation. I would like to know how big should the controversy column be so it gets its own section? Thanks --Sumitsinha lko (talk) 20:12, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
