To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the   button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

Care for a discussion? Howard the Duck (talk) 19:23, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

The events listed are meant to show events that affect the trajectory of the polls, and not as a news bulletin board. 6 years from now, when people review the polling history of 2022, will it matter that a candidate (that can barely be considered a major candidate) left his party to run as an Independent? You are opening the floodgates of potentially allowing every random event to be listed under this lower bar that you are setting. Jinmac (talk) 19:49, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
I suppose you can participate in the discussion that I started on the article's talk page? Howard the Duck (talk) 19:55, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
FWIW, I love debates and all, but these aren't the type of events people remember for in campaigns. Howard the Duck (talk) 19:56, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Well that's how low the bar is set in terms of note-worthy events in the polling page rn. And listing an event where a candidate that's never polled over 5% leaving his party as a note-worthy event doesn't make it any better. All the while ignoring the issues that has dominated the news cycle the past few months.
Looking back at the 2016 polling history page, you will see how certain issues blew up which affected the trajectory of the polls. People looking back on this 2022 polling history page 6 years from now might be fooled into thinking that no note-worthy events happened in 2022 campaign seeing as the most note-worthy event is Lacson leaving his party. I do really suggest on participating in the talk page about this. Howard the Duck (talk) 20:24, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

March 2022 edit

This is your only warning; if you assume ownership of articles again, as you did at Opinion polling for the 2022 Philippine presidential election, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Howard the Duck (talk) 19:24, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
