New article ideas

If you're having trouble creating a page, just make a link and click on it. Your link to integrating sphere above, for example, will take you directly to the edit window for that article. Articles on standard optical bench equipment sound like a good idea. Some will exist already. Be sure to search for articles under alternate names before you create new ones. Alternate names for the same thing can be linked together so they all link to one article ("Redirects"). I took the liberty of linking many of the article ideas on your user page. Most of them already do exist, but you may have useful information to add.

Yes, most of the entries in Category:Optics are abstract. The concrete things are in subcategories, such as Category:Optical devices.--Srleffler 07:47, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your edits to articles. This is a common mistake to make and has probably already been corrected. There is no need to sign your edits to article content, as the article's edit history serves the function of attributing contributions, so you only need to use your signature to make discussions more readable, such as on article talk pages or project pages such as the Village Pump. References segregator

Hi Jim. Following on from our brief discussion at the Teahouse yesterday - it occurred to me that you might find the Reference Segregator a useful tool. It locates and extracts all the references from an article at the click of a button, and puts them in a separate window for editing. I use it fairly regularly for fixing citations; it's a very handy script. Juts thought you might like to know about it. Yunshui ^雲_水 07:30, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
