Assignment 2 edit

Good start. This is a relatively recently described species without a great wealth of literature. You've located most of the main references. A couple of additional things you might add include: canine infection (DOI: 10.2460/javma.2000.216.708); explored as a biological enhancement to oaking in wine (DOI: 10.1002/jsfa.4130). Also, Dr. Summerbell may have a photograph of this fungus that you can use. Medmyco (talk) 14:29, 22 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

You should include if there any other varieties of the fungus and if there is diagnosis of the fungus. I suggest you explain what AMB is and what family it belongs to. mayooran athithan 21:08, 26 October 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mayooran.athithan (talkcontribs)

Suggestions edit

Hello Jiangw17! Good start on your facts, I think you have a lot of information pertaining to the description of the fungus, it would be helpful to do some more research on the pathogenicity of the fungus in humans and other hosts, and how to identify these infections. You mentioned that the fungus is resistant by AMB (add information about this!), but are there other treatments that can be used to inhibit growth of Phialemonium obovatum? How would we treat patients with different types of infections (invasive, peritonitis etc.)? Wendyxie99 (talk) 18:15, 28 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
