File permission problem with File:Hollywood Steps Out.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Hollywood Steps Out.png, which you've sourced to 2D artwork - artist owns copyright. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:46, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I-376 edit

Just a friendly tip, but that article still has self-published sources in it, and they'll need to be replaced before the article can be listed as a Good Article. Imzadi 1979  18:32, 15 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

US 67 GAN review edit

Thanks! I agree it needs a few more pictures Maybe I'll get some the next time I'm in that part of the state. One question though, are you going to update the banner and assessment? –Fredddie 19:39, 17 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've finished the process for you. In short, you can't just state that the article passes in the review page. The reviewer also has to update the article's talk page to indicate that the article passed so that the bot will update WP:GAN. The reviewer also has to list the article on the WP:GAN page. Unless and until that "paperwork" is done, the article has not been listed as a GA and promoted in assessment. Imzadi 1979  04:38, 18 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Actually, you don't ever have to edit WP:GAN, the bot will do anything you need to do for you. –Fredddie 04:51, 18 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
That's what I said, Fredddie. The reviewer has to edit the talk page, and that's the cue to the bot to add the "+" icon to the article, remove it from the listing on WP:GAN and add it to the recently passed list. The reviewer though does have to list the article on WP:GA in the appropriate section. Imzadi 1979  05:03, 18 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for June 28 edit

Hi. When you recently edited Buy Here Pay Here, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Industrial bank (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Jason Mewes edit

Hi. Thanks for adding material to the Jason Mewes article. One thing, though: can you please add the proper publication information that specifies what "Popcorn Porn: The Making of Zack & Miri" is, what type of publication it is, etc?

Also, please remember that material on Wikipedia needs to be written in a formal tone, and without slang words like "anyways". Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 04:27, 29 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

The Dark Knight Rises edit

Hi. I just discovered this material that you added last year to the Dark Knight Rises article. None of the material you added about the Gotham City of TDKR being modeled after Pittsburgh or Chicago or any other film. The two sources you cited mention only that the Pittsburgh Steelers appear in the film, and that's it. Please do not add unsourced material to films. The material you add must be supported by the citations that accompany it. Thank you. Nightscream (talk) 00:23, 21 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
