Jfrimpong945, the name of the historical empire is Ashanti per the rules of WP:Common Name. Ashanti forms the most common denonym among our sources. On top of that, this is English Wikipedia where the most common English names are chosen as official. Asante is best used in the Twi version of Wikipedia.
