Copyright violation edit

When you find a copyright violation, the best thing to do is to follow Wikipedia:Copyright_problems/Header#Instructions these instructions. Rewriting the material might not help, as the copyrighted material is still in the history. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 09:45, 24 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Okay. I found another one, and added it to the copy vio page according to the instructions. JethroElfman 21:24, 3 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Buffyverse edit

Heya, noticed the recent improvements you made to vairous Buffyverse pages, and thought its possible you might be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Buffy especially if you didn't know about it. We can always benefit from extra hands especially to help improve the episode articles (see 'Wikipedia:WikiProject Buffy/Episodes'). Keep up the good work -- Paxomen 19:34, 25 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I don't watch the show, I just came to correct your spelling. JethroElfman 21:24, 3 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Poreč edit

Thanks for noting the problems with the article on the discussion page! If you hadn't added the NPOV tag, I probably would've just passed by without fixing anything since I only intended to add it to my watchlist. Hopefully it's better now; have a look. --AHrvojic 19:14, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bicycle physics edit

The article, now titled Bicycle and motorcycle dynamics, has been nominated for FA. Since you've worked on it in the past, would you care take a look at it again? AndrewDressel 01:39, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

BQ abstention edit

It turns out 2 BQ MPs were paired and a third (Gravel) just didn't show up. This is why there were erroneous reports in the press of 2 MPs abstaining. However, all three MPs did not vote if you check the actual House of Commons voting roll call. Knowlton

thanks for your correction in Essential Dignities edit

Thank you for pointing out the glaring error in my "Essential Dignities" article. Mars is, of course, in his joy in the sixth house, and I overlooked that fact in trying to construct an example. It's very pleasing to find someone who understands this material and has kept me from being the author of an egregious mistake. Of course, it's very mortifying to find I had made one....! Nevertheless, I appreciate the correction. NaySay 15:28, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD discussion edit

List of Marvel Comics endearments has been nominated — unfortunately, I believe — for deletion. As a contributor to that article, you might want to comment, pro or con, at its "Articles for Deletion" discussion. --Tenebrae 05:01, 23 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re:Rapture edit

Hi, thanks for your message here. Yes, the main problem is that reference 2 - it comes from Geocities where anyone can sign up and write anything, so it's probably not from a reliable source (though the definition of reliable source is quite vague). I normally try to fix things and not just tag them, but I don't really know enough on the subject, sorry :( --h2g2bob 11:44, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Health Net Pro Cycling Team Presented by Maxxis edit

I saw that you moved this article to 2008 Health Net season with the edit notice that you were "Organizing by seasom". Currently, the article is about the team in the seasons 2005 to 2008, so the title is not really correct. Are you going to finish the organizing soon, or would it be best to move the article back to "Health Net-Maxxis"? --EdgeNavidad (talk) 06:45, 18 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I struggled with what to do with that time period in their history. If it's the sponsor that makes the team, for instance, seeing as how the 2007 Astana team had no resemblance to the 2006 Astana team yet still makes the same article, then that means the transitions from Health Net to OUCH to UnitedHealthcare each deserved their own article. So no, I don't expect to go back and provide seasom summaries for 2005 through 2008, although I will likely do for the balance of 2010. Therefore there was no point in breaking it up further into individual seasoms rather than leaving the four lumped one. It just felt right to be able to search for OUCH cycling and arrive at an article devoted to the OUCH seasom, even though it's just one part of the life of what is basically one long-standing team. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:32, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
