School naming conventions edit

I'm moving this here to put an end to discussion on another user's Talk page.

With regard to your comments on User talk:Nightstallion about school naming conevntions ... FYI the Penn State schools appear to be officially named "Penn State [city]." That is the only way in which they are presented on the schools' websites (at least according to my research, which did not include every page of every school but a representative Google search of several of the school sites), unlike with Simon's Rock College of Bard. The article on Leland Stanford Junior University was fixed tonight. I'd also point out that there were no complaints about either of the other page moves you mentioned above, nor so far of my University of Wisconsin-Madison move earlier today. If there are others you'd like to point out, please do so on my Talk page and I'll gladly look into them in accordance with WP:NC(S). BRossow T/C 01:22, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Deleted Article edit

(from my Talk:) Hey, your userpage said you can bring deleted articles back from the dead. Is there a chance that you can hook me up with the text from Goat on a Pole? The capitalization might be off, but as for the wording, it's right. Thanks a ton. Jesuschex 02:30, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

See User:Jesuschex/Goat on a pole. Just zis Guy you know? 08:15, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Someone helped you I see. You had left a message on my Talk: page but I've been offline for awhile. HGB 18:13, 24 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I got it handled. Thanks though! Jesuschex 20:19, 24 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I have put up an article on Goat on a Pole because somebody requested it. Was that you? Wiki is already trying to take it down, any suggestions? --Ps. I linked your userpage in the article since you had biographical information about Andy Harris and the formation of Goat on a Pole that I didn't. Thanks! --BoiZane 03:06, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

AFD: Struck Jury edit

Can you take a look at the revised and expanded Struck Jury article. It certainly doesn't fit your original AfD nomination as just a dictionary definition anymore. GRBerry 16:41, 10 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Greetings Rocker edit

Greeting Fellow Rocker,

I have revamped the userbox for SRC. You can view it at: [1]. If you add this to your user page, your user page will be placed in Category:Wikipedians by alma mater: Simon's Rock College of Bard. For instructions on how to add this userbox to your user page and more information see WP:Userboxes.

Share and enjoy, GabrielF 23:50, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

SRC renaming edit

Hey,

I think changing the name of the SRC article is a bit premature. It might be a good idea to wait for an official announcement and then cite it. No need to cause confusion.

Lahey Clinic Hospital edit

Before you acuse somebody of copyright infringement, you had better check your information. The article, as referenced, obtained information from the properly referenced and attributed sources. Additionally, a simple 'diff' of the text will show that it is NOT a copy. There were no copies of anything and, in fact, I even took the picture. Please put back the article. You are making me very angry. --LymanSchool 12:39, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:Jump-web.jpg edit

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Jump-web.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 13:15, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Simrock logo.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Simrock logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:44, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Chris Burgert edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Chris Burgert. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chris Burgert. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:12, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Emocapella for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Emocapella is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Emocapella until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. GrapedApe (talk) 12:14, 5 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

File:AnneFerro.jpg missing description details edit

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 01:18, 13 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Edit to EPA Administrator article edit

Hi, your recent edit to Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency introduced a day of the week problem "Saturday, July 9, 2018". The cited source indicates Monday, July 9, but your edit summary said you have a source saying Saturday, July 7. Citing that source would help clear this up.
