Fiona's Peer Review

edit

Hi Jennyfer!

Your article looks really good. It was helpful to see the way that you went about editing as my wiki article is also biographical.

One thing that could be developed more is her research interests section, maybe expanding more on the definitions of those interests and what it means in relation to linguistics.

Olivia's Peer Review

edit

I think that the article is very informative and written from a great point of view and that the information about her research is well presented. However, I thought that it would benefited by adding more background to Woolard herself rather than her research. I know that you are limited by what sources are available because I'm also working on a biographical article, but if you can find anything about her time as the president of the SLA or more about her background that would be very interesting and relevant. Also, towards the end of the Research overview section there's a lot of quoting that I personally don't think is necessary and could be put in more understandable terms. I feel like the section on her book has information that doesn't feel strictly relevant to her biography and that might just be because its long. I feel like it could benefit from further editing down. Good job so far! Olivemich98 (talk) 04:46, 26 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Response to peer reviews

edit

I can't really expand on her research interests because thats what a source said and I've provided hyperlinks for others too look at therefore I don't think that definitions are quite necessary. I will go back and try to make it clearer for the audience but that's as much as I can add at this time. As for background of Woolard, I've actually tried looking for anything besides her professional stuff and there is no background info that has been accessible (not even on her university bio page). I agree on the quotations, and I am going to change that and make it more understandable. Thank you both for doing your peer reviews in such detail! -Jennyfer
