Your Beyoncé edits

It would be great if you read the sources I put up a bit more carefully. The Center for Science in the Public Interest launched a campaign a month prior to the inauguration to try to get Beyoncé to change her mind. Laurie David started the petition on We the People and remained equally condemnatory after the petition was taken down by the White. These, I believe, constitute heavy, involved criticism. Response to your comments. Titles of a book, a play, works of art, not the titles in other sense. Look again. And explain what you mean by heavy being loaded before just taking it off. That bit about the Caesarian or not: Whatever your intentions, the word naturally closes down any speculation about her having used a surrogate, so its weasely. I'm tempted to tweak the mention of her "proving" her "natural" pregnancy in her HBO doc too because the shots of her pregnant were always partial (no continuous shot of those closeups of the bump to her face), and the sonogram shots are individual videos on their own. Response: Where do you get this: "a lot of the media at the time reported it purely because it was controversial, many admitting that it was false." If you want to assert this in the article you'll have to have good backup and "It doesn't deserve much ground seeing the only evidence rests on a dress folding", well if you're an irrational Beyoncé fan who doesn't like to count back months and see how active she was during parts of her pregnancy yes. You can think what you want it's a free world. But I will fight you if you try to close the discussion of this in the article. It was easy enough for the star to show the world if this were true in her doc but she didn't. It's weird, because there's nothing wrong with a surrogate pregnancy. Per the WP:RFC and WP:FRS guidelines, I respectfully request your feedback regarding a question of law.

Should the Ugg boots trademark disputes article include example cases of counterfeit consumer goods? Is the counterfeiting of brand name goods a "trademark dispute" when the counterfeiters are taken to court? Also, an editor has claimed that the introduction of example cases of counterfeiting "dilute" the discussion about whether the word "UGG" is a generic term, and therefore ineligible for trademark protection.

Could you explain the logic of Beyoncé announcement of her pregnancy helping the 2011's MTV Video Music Awards becoming one of their most watched? 1) People tuned in not knowing what was going to happen 2) the source for this is MTV itself so definitely some self-advertising nonsensical language in there. Beyonce and Jay-Z in Cuba

No, it's a big deal already. Cuba is a HUGE deal in the US. (You're in the UK, right?) Europeans have been making trips to Cuba through other countries for years and so have some lefty Americans and Cuban Americans but for a huge American celebrity couple to do it, it's really different. Here's a Washington Post headline: "Beyoncé and Jay-Z in Cuba more controversial than past star visits"Here's a Yahoo article here. And The Guardian, a British source. Lots of left symbolism here for folks that have been criticized as apolitical (Jay-Z and Beyoncé) by left African Americans, like Harry Belafonte. Alot of the above articles also show that Obama is seeking to loosen the embargo. Mario Rubio, rising star on the American political right, and Florida senator has been pretty vocally against the trip. Here he is again. --Aichik (talk) 17:08, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

Beyoncé's Billboard Millenium Award

Thanks for your prompt edits on her intro. I noticed that you put the Billboard Millenium Award back in again without adding anything to [the debate], in effect overriding it. Please don't do this again. If you want it kept in, cite where you saw that she said it was among one of her most important awards. Finding that she said it was more important than the Soul Train Awards (which we have left out on all of her solo stuff) or the MTV Video Music Awards will keep it in there indefinitely.

Other recent Beyoncé edits

Could you be more careful with these? I put in Columbia after the songwriting contract bit because it was nowhere in the article. It was only mentioned in connection to Destiny's Child it seems like it was forgotten.

"the fact that an artist releases under a certain label hardly needs to be repeated throughout an article" This is a bit of an exaggeration, since it wasn't mentioned in the body of the article. We mention every song that hit the top 100 but not the music label under which they were produced? Then all of a sudden her worldwise publishing agreement? The exceptions are for BLP violations or obvious vandalism. His edits clearly weren't vandalism, I'm not sure about BLP but guessing not. For what it is worth, I think your violation was much less than the other gents, particularly considering his demeaning and aggressive tone he took. I reverted controversial statements to a section where it was not relevant, undue and with unreliable sources; this has nothing to do with "ownership" or being selective of what material goes in or even discouraging other editors from editing. Rotten Tomatoes

Please read WP:RTMC, it is a guideline not a rule but it is a very well thought out and helpful guideline. When referencing it is often useful to give the date to be specific and provide proper context but with scores from sites like Rotten Tomatoes the number of reviews used to generate the score provides all the necessary context, much better context than a date. A film that gets 83% from 100 reviews is more significant than a film that gets 100% from 10 reviews.
