(talk page watcher) Hi. I really don't think belongs to ANI. ANI isn't part of the dispute resolution process. —Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 11:38, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

My edit to Citizens band radio

If you'd like to discuss further I have posted something here. Yes, I know my edit to the article may have been inappropriate. It's just a starting point. What you said about my edit that was reverted was correct, and I need to be more careful. I was tired and had lots to do and thought I saw a need to be filled. I believe I still can with further research. — Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 18:51, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

I'll try to get back to you by the weekend. Jeh (talk) 11:02, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

I appreciate your concerns about my edits. You may want to read this on my talk page. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 11:49, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

That ANI report of yours does not seem to be going the way you hoped it would.
Re that note on your talk page, user SirChan has no authority I can see to summarily declare, as if it was established fact, that a template parameter is intended for some use other than what the template doc says it's for. SirChan's second graf even implies that they know that. I've replied to SirChan there.
If you disagree with how a template parameter is to be used, the right approach is to go to the template talk page and discuss it. There is good reason why editing a template page (which includes the documentation) requires a special privilege bit here. Templates are used on many articles and (along with their documentation) are the result of considerable past work and discussion that achieved WP:CONSENSUS. They should therefore not be ignored lightly. It is not for one or a few later editors to simply decide among themselves that the template should be used in a different way than documented. Maybe the documentation should be changed, maybe a new parameter is called for... but haring off and making changes to dozens of related articles to bring them into compliance with your own ideas, contrary to the template doc and without discussion, is not the right approach here. Attempted "do not edit" edicts from you ("Leave it as it is") do not help promote collaborative discussion either. Jeh (talk) 16:55, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

Just to warn you

I'm looking at Broadcasting & Cable in a few minutes. I know to be more careful today. Maybe I'll make suggestions for edits.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 16:08, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

Uh... ok. Jeh (talk) 18:27, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, I forgot to tell you when I was through. My one edit based on a magazine article wasn't ideal, but it was a start.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 16:51, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
