Please leave comments as to why you believe your Glace Bay edits are valid.

You are reverting nonsense without explaination, which would be considered vandalism.

License tagging for Image:DanceDanceEvolution.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DanceDanceEvolution.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:06, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

I think it's funny. But it doesn't belong on Wikipedia. Try Uncyclopedia instead. – Quadell (talk) (random) 03:34, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

It is cool, but Wikipedia's not a joke cite. I'm sure Uncyclopedia would love to have the article. – Quadell (talk) (random) 03:38, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:MayorJohnWMorgan.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:31, 30 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 11:31, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:MayorJohnWMorgan.jpg

edit

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:MayorJohnWMorgan.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jesse Viviano 22:25, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Hey There, the picture is fair use but it is not his. The CBRM, www.cbrm.ns.ca, owns the copyright. It is allow for wikipedia purposes from my understanding, although I doubt this person holds the rights to the image. -Kirkoconnell 12:29, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Stop Vandalising the Glace Bay page

edit

You are vandalising the Glace Bay. This article seems to be the one from the uncyclopedia article. This is your only warning for this as it is clear vadalism. Please stop to avoid a ban from Wikipedia. -Kirkoconnell (talk) 05:08, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please consider making some positive contributions

Hello Jefferson Airplane. Wikipedia should consider blocking you from editing as a vandal-only account. Your effort to make Glace Bay, Nova Scotia into a joke article is very amusing, I'm sure. If you plan to continue editing here, I hope you'll do something to dispel this negative impression. Anything you can do that would actually help the encyclopedia would be appreciated. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 05:44, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
