File copyright problem with File:The_bittersweets_sf.JPG edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:The_bittersweets_sf.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 00:02, 16 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Greetings! edit

Hi Jeff, I am the lead editor for Derek Trucks and The Derek Trucks Band, and wanted to thank you for the work you have done on the Susan Tedeschi article! I'm one of few that touched her article, as roots and blues musicians, like their jazz counterparts tend to be ignored in the Wikipedia. However, I've been doing this for a few years, maybe we can help each other... (or ask others we know with certain skills to help with those things we don't know). I see you've had problems getting a photo uploaded. That's my main focus, I am what is called, a "Wikignome", someone who does all the smaller tasks that others just take for granted; copyediting for grammar, word construction, finding photos that people have taken and contacting them, to get them to give up their copyright and allow us to use the photos using Creative Commons. I'm not sure what your focus is right now, but just leave me a note on my talk page if you want any help, advice, or whatever! We are, after all, working towards the same goals, I think! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 02:36, 20 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi Leah, thanks for the kudos. I fill in details about musicians, albums or songs when I have missing information. Not sure what you meant about uploading photos to Susan Tedeschi's article. I tried to clean up the grammar on that article and split out some egregious run-on paragraphs. Jeff d kirby (talk) 16:47, 20 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hey Jeff, no I meant, we are doing the same kinds of things. I'm the one who uploads photos and infoboxes, and wanted to tell you thanks for helping along Susan Tedeschi's article! I was attempting this past year to fix far too many botched articles (not hers, I just put the photos on Susan's article), but on the Derek Trucks and Cat Stevens and other ones. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, and some people dumped references on Derek Trucks' page that would probably come in as very useful on Susan Tedeschi's page, too. Cheers! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 05:57, 24 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:The bittersweets sf.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:The bittersweets sf.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 22:58, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

July 2011 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Beau Bridges. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Cognate247 (talk) 20:08, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
