@Gorgmarijuano: I am defending the wiki from vandals like you. I get that your precious Pats lost, for a variety of reasons, but they are AFC Champions and 5-time Super Bowl Champions. So what if Brady can't catch a pass? That's no reason to vandalize. Please stop it.   — Jeff G. ツ 06:03, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

Daddy Jeff,

I am a Giants fan. Please don't assume my NFL team affiliation.

With love,

New Page Reviewer Newsletter

Hello Jeff G./Archives/2018, thank you for your efforts in reviewing new pages!

The NPP backlog at the end of the drive with the number of unreviewed articles by creation date. Red is older than 90 days, orange is between 90 and 30 days old, and green is younger than 30 days.

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 3819 unreviewed articles, with a further 6660 unreviewed redirects.
  • We are very close to eliminating the backlog completely; please help by reviewing a few extra articles each day!

New Year Backlog Drive results:

  • We made massive progress during the recent four weeks of the NPP Backlog Drive, during which the backlog reduced by nearly six thousand articles and the length of the backlog by almost 3 months!

General project update:

  • ACTRIAL will end it's initial phase on the 14th of March. Our goal is to reduce the backlog significantly below the 90 day index point by the 14th of March. Please consider helping with this goal by reviewing a few additional pages a day.
  • Reviewing redirects is an important and necessary part of New Page Patrol. Please read the guideline on appropriate redirects for advice on reviewing redirects. Inappropriate redirects can be re-targeted or nominated for deletion at RfD.

Sorry to hear that. Try contacting local law enforcement in Pennsylvania, Comcast, or the FBI, there's nothing we can do.   — Jeff G. ツ 18:29, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

@Justlettersandnumbers: Thanks for the notices, what brought these files to your attention?   — Jeff G. ツ 11:18, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
Hi, Jeff! Aarggh, how did they get here? (answer:Twinkle) Sorry, I didn't look at the file histories (but I'm a bit puzzled to find them created by you). I had a run-in at the Teahouse with a COI editor who (a) claims to have been a friend of Benzoni and (b) apparently has no understanding of copyright. I was looking at the article, which is in a pretty dire state after the recent additions, to see if there were copyright problems with the text. I didn't (and still don't) see that we can justify using non-free photos of her when a free one is available on Commons, but perhaps your view is different?. I looked at the ticket too, and saw your confirmation that that free one was safe from deletion. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 12:05, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, me again, just to let you know that I've added File:Juliette Benzoni receiving the Knight of National Order of Merit, Chevalier de l'Ordre National, from President Jacques Chirac in 1998.jpg to the first of these two discussions, as it seems to me that the same considerations apply. Don't know if adding it there was the right way to go about it, but that's what I did. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:21, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
