Articles for Creation urgently needs YOUR help!

Articles for Creation is desperately short of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors, in reviewing submissions in the pending submissions queue. Currently there are 1017 submissions waiting to be reviewed and many help requests at our Help Desk.

Do you have what it takes?
  1. Are you familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines?
  2. Do you know what Wikipedia is and is not?
  3. Do you have a working knowledge of the Manual of Style, particularly article naming conventions?
  4. Are you autoconfirmed?
  5. Can you review submissions based on their individual merits?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog. You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions.

PS: we have a great AFC helper script at User:Timotheus Canens/afchelper4.js which helps in reviewing in just few edits easily!

We would greatly appreciate your help. Currently, only a small handful of users are reviewing articles. Any help, even if it's just 2 or 3 reviews, it would be extremely beneficial.
On behalf of the Articles for Creation project,
TheSpecialUser TSU

WikiProject:REHAB update

You signed up for WikiProject User Rehab

Hi there, I'm RDN1F. It's come to my attention that you've signed up for WikiProject Rehab, but since that time the project has retired. I've decided to take it upon myself to rejuvenate the project - but I could do with your help. If you are still willing to help mentor (or even give me a hand in bringing this project back!) leave a message on my talk page

RE:

Hi Jeff G. My information is being wrongly put up on my wikipedia page. my nationality or origins are not from nepal. I'm an Indian citizen, i hold an Indian passport and my birth and upbringing has been in Mumbai, also my current home. My father, Udit Narayan Jha, was born in India and is an Indian citizen, singer and has been honoured with the Padma Shri, the third highest civilian honour in India. My mother, Deepa Narayan Jha was born and brought up in Kalimpong, West Bengal. I'm very patriotic towards my country, India. It is highly offensive to be called from any other nationality other than my own. Kindly let me know how we can resolve this from happening again.

Thanks, Aditya Narayan Jha

@Imadityanarayan: Also, exactly where and when was your father born? What nation's passport does he hold? Has he ever changed citizenship? Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:34, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

Udit Narayan is pure Nepali he held a Nepalese passport for detail see youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sw5NZ-cy3vk — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.244.201.178 (talk) 08:45, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

@49.244.201.178: Thank you. An English translation would have been nice, but I get the gist of it.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:17, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

Udit Narayan Jha was born on 1 December 1955 in the village of Bhardaha, in Saptari District, Nepal.[1] His father was Hare Krishna Jha and his mother was Bhuwaneshwari Devi.

Narayan studied at P.B. School, Rajbiraj, Nepal where he passed his S.L.C. (class 10) and later obtained his intermediate from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, mostly known as RR campus Kathmandu.

Udit Narayan began his career by singing Nepali, Maithili, Nepal Bhasa, Bhojpuri at first when he was in his native country, Nepal singing for Radio Nepal as a staff artiste for Maithili and Nepali folk songs. He sang many popular Nepali folk, modern songs on Radio Nepal. His first film playback singing was for Nepali Film Sindur. It was a comedy song for famous Nepali comedians GopalRaj Mainali (Chankhe) and Basundhara Bhushal (Nakkali). It was a duet song with Sushma Shrestha— now known as Poornima in Hindi films. After eight years in that role, the Indian embassy offered him the chance to study classical music at a prestigious school in Bombay, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, on a music scholarship. He moved to Bombay in 1978. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.244.233.52 (talk) 10:05, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

@49.244.233.52: Where are your verifiable reliable sources for this information? According to The Times of India, Udit Narayan was born in Nepal (I figure about 2 miles or 3 kilometers from the Nepal-India border), but his mother lived in India, and he has been in India since 1978. It appears his son Aditya was born in Mumbai, about nine years into his stay in India. I don't know how inheritance of nationality or ethnic identity works there, but Aditya's claim of being Indian seems to be on solid ground based on his birth and his possession of an Indian passport.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 02:53, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
