Speedy deletion of Robert Pichette edit

A tag has been placed on Robert Pichette, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD A7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. ~EnviroboyTalkContribs - 03:04, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

According to WP:BIO, being related to a well-known person does not establish notability. You asked how to move this article to the French section. You should check out http://fr.wikipedia.org ~EnviroboyTalkContribs - 03:07, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from an article that you created yourself, even if you use the {{hangon}}. Thank you. ~EnviroboyTalkContribs - 03:09, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Robert Pichette edit

Reliable sourcing for a Wikipedia article is media coverage about him. Newspapers, radio, TV, magazines, published books. That's the only kind of referencing that's ever acceptable for getting a person into Wikipedia — none of the references present in the article, as it's written right now, count for anything. • The discussion stays open for a minimum of seven days after nomination; it is kept or deleted based on the consensus of participants in the discussion. If there aren't enough participants to establish a consensus, it gets relisted for a second week; if there's still no consensus it gets relisted for a third week. There's no other way for the discussion to close prematurely. Bearcat (talk) 15:34, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
