Billionaires for health

edit

To a billionaire, my salutations.

It is estimated that close to 11 million children die each year from preventable and treatable diseases.

With the most cost efficient methods:
-The lives of 2.4 million children can be "saved" and preserved for 1.92 billion $. (800$ per child)

Treatment cost is higher for other more difficult health problems:
-The lives of 5.2 million children and 0.2 million mothers can be "saved" and preserved for 10.8 billion $. (2000$ per person)

(An investment case of UNICEF, WHO and World Bank)

I hope you'll be happy of the power you have to preserve the lives of millions. I believe that's not something to be scared of but to be proud of.
Best wishes.

Documentation: Child survival,Demographic transition

As a bonus, preserving children's lives is one of the two best ways to reduce population growth. Education of girls is the other one.

Mass spamming of user talk pages

edit

So, what exactly were you doing? I've indefinitely blocked this account until some kind of satisfactory explanation can be given. I've deleted all the talk pages that you created and would ask you to read WP:SPAM before responding. Thanks, - auburnpilot talk 05:16, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Don't you think billionaires should know what I write?... I plan on telling all written media I can find that I wrote to 962 billionaires to tell them about children health.

I frankly don't even understand what you mean by that. Are you trying to create talk pages for all 962 billionaires who you want to contact? If so, I hate to tell you, but I doubt they have accounts on Wikipedia. Most of the pages you created didn't even have associated registered names. Either way, that's not what Wikipedia is for. Up to tonight, you've made some great contribs, but this message just isn't right. - auburnpilot talk 05:27, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

We're not a chatroom or messaging service, sorry -- there are chatrooms and messagings services for this sort of thing. If you'd like to contribute to an encyclopedia or its infrastructure, this is the place, but that's pretty much all we concern ourselves (and our resources) with. See what Wikipedia is not and the five pillars of Wikipedia for a slightly more in-depth explanation. – Luna Santin (talk) 06:39, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

can you tell me where i can find a messager service in which I can mail somebody who is not registered?(The most popular if possible)

Decline reason:

This is not a proper reason to be unblocked. If you wish to edit, then give us a reason to unblock you. Otherwise, you do not need to edit Wikipedia.08:14, 18 July 2007 (UTC)—Ryūlóng (竜龍)

Decline reason:

Listen, please -- if you're not going to edit the encyclopedia, we're not going to unblock you. This is at least the fourth time you've been told this, I'm honestly not sure what's hard to grasp about it. In any case, please stop posting unblock requests if you're not going to take at least a little time to try and understand why you've been blocked in the first place, and to explain what sort of contributions you might make if unblocked. Again, your mission may be as noble as anything, but if it's not furthering the goals of this project, you really shouldn't be using our resources to do it. Sorry. – Luna Santin (talk) 08:26, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
