Speedy deletion of Www.pricebyprice.com edit

A tag has been placed on Www.pricebyprice.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Omarcheeseboro (talk) 13:36, 3 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your website is too young to have achieved notability yet. But it appears you have a good and valid and significant idea, and if your site can prosper, it will soon achieve the required notability. At that time, it would be better if some uninvolved third party wrote the article -- you could place a request for the article on the requests for articles page. Good luck! You've made a good start on the article here on your talk page. May I suggest working on it in your Sandbox, and strengthening the discussion of the web site itself to show its notability.

Re: Price by Price edit

The external links you placed in the article have nothing to do with the deletion. It was the lack of independent reliable sources available for the new site that was the deciding factor. Wikipedia articles must be verifiable and written from a neutral point of view. With the only information currently available as references being the site itself and a press release announcing the site launch, it is not possible to satisfy both of these requirements. What you need for this article is published information from independent third-parties. For more information, please read Wikipedia:Your first article. --Allen3 talk 12:52, 4 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
