You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Jeff Cage.. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 22:15, 9 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Autobiographies edit

This shouldn't be that difficult. Have a read of WP:Autobiography - in particular, take note of the section which says "creating autobiographies about yourself are strongly discouraged". In all honesty, if you're really that notable, sooner or later someone independent will create an article about you. Until then, enjoy using Wikipedia, but as autobiography is frowned upon I would suggest you edit subjects other than yourself. Any problems, leave me a message on my talk page. Jeff Cage edit

someone from third party could write this and submit and it would be ok?

why was Noisome Records deleted? there are references to it already in wikipedia. My radio stations are listed with my name attached. why can't info be provided to find out more about Jeff Cage?

You have been using multiple accounts to create various autobiographies. Each article is being used as evidence that the others should be notable...and it doesn't work that way. Wikipedia is not a venue for personal promotion. IrishGuy talk 22:22, 9 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Think of it this way: if you are truly notable, you won't have to create an article or ask someone to create it for you. It'll inevitably be created by one of your many listeners. If you aren't truly notable, then, a Wikipedia page which isn't being watched by many people can be a place where misinformation and vandalism get added until the page is a real mess and an embarrassment to you. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 22:32, 9 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
