edit

{{helpme}} this is about a group of editors not allowing other view points and one admin abuseing his privledges. Fru23 edited with in 2 mins of me. This is a clear abuse of power

Unfortunately this is not what the helpme tag is for. You will have to contact individual editors or open a thread if you want to ask that. neuro(talk) 22:04, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
If you're trying to figure out how Checkuser works so that you can game it more effectively, don't bother. Did you look up Matt like I asked? We might help you before you dig yourself deeper. DurovaCharge! 22:08, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
What, game that I live in new york and have a completely differant ip? JcLiner (talk) 22:12, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Jc, the site's volunteers have seen this before. You're not the first one to try this trick. We're miles ahead of you. Settle down and get real, please. I don't hold grudges. DurovaCharge! 22:15, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Please release the results then, otherwise I may file an abuse of power against you. JcLiner (talk) 22:19, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Abuse of power against me? I'm not a checkuser, not an admin (formerly one; resigned). Checkuser details don't get released. Dude, I'm trying to help you. DurovaCharge! 22:21, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not you, blue96, sorry if came across like that.
No problem. I'm serious about the referral though. Please email me (click the link to my user page and hit 'email this user'. Best regards, DurovaCharge! 22:29, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

And just how did you, a brand new user, just happen to jump straight into this debate a matter of hours after the sock farm was shut down? Do you think we were born yesterday? Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 20:32, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Assume good faith. JcLiner (talk) 20:34, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Demonstrate some. Answer the question. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 20:35, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Users with a recognized expertise in one field might not wish to associate their contributions to that field with contributions to articles about subjects in which they do not have the same expert standing, or which they consider less weighty. " and "A person editing an article which is highly controversial within his/her family, social or professional circle, and whose Wikipedia identity is known within that circle, or traceable to their real-world identity, may wish to use an alternative account in order to avoid real-world consequences from their involvement in that area. " I am not a sock of fru23. JcLiner (talk) 20:36, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Answer my original question. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 20:37, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I might be a sock of some other user that does not want to be associate this to his real account, I thought fru23 made many good points about a double standard and will continue were he left off. JcLiner (talk) 20:39, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

If that's what you are, then you're still in violation of WP:SOCK. Alternate accounts are not permitted for the purpose of engaging in contentious discussions. Otherwise, if this is what it looks like it is, I really recommend coming clean. This site's volunteers are understanding if you shoot straight, but this conduct is the fast track to a siteban. It doesn't have to end that way. Just level with us; we're human. DurovaCharge! 21:00, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Or I am not that please do a checkuser. JcLiner (talk) 21:02, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Jc, if you really work for Bill O'Reilly, ask the Fox receptionist to put you in touch with Matt Sanchez and tell him Durova said hi. He'll probably have some useful insights to share. Best wishes, DurovaCharge! 21:08, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

CheckUser came back as "Possible"--coupled with this user's behavior, this is enough to block this user indefinitely. Blueboy96 21:35, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
