Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, Jbarrancoreyes. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Jesús Barranco, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Hello, @MarcGarver!
I do indeed have a relationship. The page is not mine, but refers to me as writer, and I wanted to be sure my second surname was added (it is a common issue with as Spaniards in all english-based resources). As I understand from your message, I should rather suggest that change in the talk pages, is it correct?
Thanks in advance. Jbarrancoreyes (talk) 17:23, 14 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes that is recommended, especially as writing autobiographies is also strongly discouraged. MarcGarver (talk) 08:55, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Understood! I didn´t write this one, and wanted it to properly address my whole name (it can make a mess with other Jesús Barranco personalities) but I understand it is recommended that it is someone else who validates such changes. I apologize for the inconvenience and shall proceed as indicated. Jbarrancoreyes (talk) 11:22, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
