What?!? You've been editing since 2016 and haven't had any talk page messages?

Happy Belated Welcome to youuuuu. (And thanks for catching that death error on 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Virginia. Shearonink (talk) 01:40, 21 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edit on 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Virginia

edit

This edit completely removed the city of Chesapeake, Virginia from the totals. The VDH has that stat broken out separately here, so I have restored that info. I think you are in error but maybe I am so if you wish let's discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 19:46, 24 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Names in Virginia coronavirus article

edit

The changes in this edit are not all correct according to the latest news from WSLS. The case that was reported as happening in Roanoke (the city) was mis-reported, it actually happened in Roanoke County. VDH sometimes isn't as updated as WSLS per this quote:

The case initially reported in Roanoke City by the Virginia Department of Health is actually a person who live in Roanoke County.

I also changed Manassas (city) to "Manassas City" per the VDH table. Thanks for the overall correction though. Wanted you to know why I changed some of the information.- Shearonink (talk) 18:43, 27 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

This thing is moving so fast, Roanoke City was already changed to Roanoke County when I posted above Sorry about that, Virginia has so many towns and counties with the same name, counties with "City" in the name - I must have momentarily confused Roanoke with Radford, thinking that something was wrong when it actually wasn't. So many changes in the data, thanks for keeping an eye on the article. Occasionally the vandals & trolls have been coming out, nice to have other good-faith editors editing it. Shearonink Yeah, it's definitely a fluid situation! I was typing this response when you posted your second comment...so the VDH table lists it as "Manassas City" to differentiate it from Manassas Park, which is also an independent city which borders Manassas, much like they have Franklin listed as "Franklin City" to differentiate it from Franklin County and Richmond listed as "Richmond City" to differentiate it from Richmond County. And neither the Franklin's nor the Richmond's are anywhere close to each other! So anyway, the name of the city is Manassas, not Manassas City. I'm a county geek (there is such a thing) and I do love the fact that Virginia is unique with their independent cities. :) Thanks for the kind words, I'm definitely not a troll or a vandal!
