Red Alert 3 Uprising

I have no idea how to do it, so can you undo your move to C&C: RA3: Uprising? If you look at the talk page, it explains why it was like that. --Thejadefalcon (talk) 10:12, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

In that case, never mind. --Thejadefalcon (talk) 15:20, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Spepdy deletion for Patrick Naughton

Hello, I'm confused, It seems you removed the speedy deletion tag. Do I need to put the tag again ? Hervegirod (talk) 12:20, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

No, it was a mistake from my side to put it there in the first place. Sry. --MrStalker (talk) 12:22, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
No problem !!! Hervegirod (talk) 12:25, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

schools

All high schools are considered notable at Wikipedia, precisely to avoid the problems of debating each one individually to weed out a few percent. Almost always sources can in fact be located with enough digging in local print sources--and, given Google News Archive, this will continue to get easier. This has been a stable compromise for over a year and a half now. (I was not too happy with it myself, because i tend to be deletionist for local institutions, but it works & avoids the previous dozen or so daily debates, almost all of which ended in keeps when the evidence was found) The only reason it isn't a formal guideline is because a few determined people can prevent the adoption of one because or our difficulty in defining what's need for consensus there. What we do is our guidelines as much as what we say. I have accordingly removed some prods--you can hardly claim they are uncontroversial deletions. I recognize the information in some of the articles is minimal, but if you want to nominate for AfD, consider 1. that you need to look for more information first yourself, per WP:BEFORE. and 2. That essentially all such articles have been kept for the last two years. DGG (talk) 19:53, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

I was not aware there was a special consensus regarding the notability of schools, mainly because there is no mention of this in the official guidelines, which I find somewhat odd if this is indeed a widespread consensus. Same thing regarding villages. However, I will assume you are speaking the truth. AfDs withdrawn. --MrStalker (talk) 22:12, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Aldanotreta Deletion?

I suggest that we keep this unless there is a more specific objection. Given the possibility that the position of this genus in the taxonomic tree may be revised, and due to its relative importance, it seems appropriate to factor it out into its own page. Thanks. Achyleus (talk) 07:14, 3 August 2009 (UTC)Achyleus

Use of WP:PROD

I have found that usage of WP:PROD often takes more time and energy than WP:AFD, and further that because of the loose standards-that even the article's creator can oppose a PROD, and even if the article is deleted, there's no speedy way to remove it again (see WP:CSD#G4), and that PROD now lasts the same length of time that AFD does, it becomes fairly useless. More often than not, nearly every possible deletion is "controversial" to someone. Cheers, Carlossuarez46 (talk) 18:10, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Removal of PROD from Tatabad

Hello MrStalker, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Tatabad has been removed. It was removed by Phil Bridger with the following edit summary '(remove prod and notability tags - basic searches show that this is a notable district)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Phil Bridger before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Thank you, SDPatrolBot (talk) 23:05, 3 August 2009 (UTC) (Learn how to opt out of these messages)

Your rollback request

Hello MrStalker, I have granted your account rollback in accordance with your request. Please remember that rollback is for reverting vandalism/spam, and that misuse of the tool, either by revert-warring with other users, or simply reverting edits you disagree with, can lead to it being removed. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 17:52, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Excellent :) --MrStalker (talk) 18:35, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
It possibly wasn't a good idea to give this user the rollback tool, he just used it quite improperly. Nashassum (talk) 18:10, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Look, Nashassum. The edit was flagged by Huggle and it looked like a test edit since the header was the exactly the same as the first line of the paragraph, so yeah, maybe I was a bit quick with the revert. But hey, nothing was damaged, was it? --MrStalker (talk) 18:15, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes, it was damaged. I created a sub-heading in order to link from a discussion below, which you removed without cause. Nashassum (talk) 18:19, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
No, it wasn't. As anyone can see the header is still there in perfect condition. --MrStalker (talk) 18:21, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes, because I had to reinstate it, a frustrating experience because Wikipedia is rather slow and there were many edit conflicts at that talk page. Nashassum (talk) 18:31, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, I'm sure you'll survive. --MrStalker (talk) 18:31, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
And as far as I can tell, it seems you are involved in an edit war on that article, so don't come lecture me. --MrStalker (talk) 18:16, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
That's of no relevance to this discussion. Nashassum (talk) 18:19, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Please update your status with WP:VG

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Need for Speed: Shift edits

Why is the information I added to the Need for Speed: Shift page redundant? Darth Newdar talk 16:40, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Because saying Need for Speed: Shift is sometimes called only Shift is like saying a person is sometimes called only by his/her first name, which is pretty darn obvious to any human from the planet Earth. --MrStalker (talk) 17:56, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
What about the "stylised" bit (stylised as Need for Speed SHIFT)? Just wondering because of a similar thing on the Race Driver: Grid and Colin McRae: Dirt 2 pages. Darth Newdar talk 18:44, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Well the Dirt 2 article has it because you put it there, and on the Grid article the edit didn't state a reason or referenced any consensus so... I think it looks equally redundant on both articles. Besides, when it comes to style referring to other articles is pretty useless unless it is a good or featured article. Why does it even matter? If someone reads some promotional text (because these "styles" are only used in ads or ad-like material) and sees these abominations to the common manual of style I'm pretty sure they will understand either way, they don't need to be "warned" in advance. Put parentheses right after the articles title only serves to break the text, if anything it should at least be moved to a footnote. But that's just my opinion. --MrStalker (talk) 20:36, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for replying – what you say makes sense, and I agree with you. I have now deleted the "style" information from the Grid and Dirt 2 article. The only thing I have left is the information on Dirt 2's page that it is known as "just Dirt 2 outside of Europe", as I do think this is important, as it refers to the actual name of the game, rather than just the ad-like style. Darth Newdar talk 21:26, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Yes of course, if there is an alternative title (rather than just different caps) that's important information. --MrStalker (talk) 12:23, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
By the way, this "stylised" thing seems to be a Wikipedia-wide problem; see this search for the word "stylised" – I don't know whether we need to have a purge of these? Darth Newdar talk 21:28, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Maybe, but since there doesn't seem to be any documented consensus it's probably best to take up to discussion first. --MrStalker (talk) 12:23, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

DSG International Ltd.

You used rollback twice on this article to restore it to a vandalized version. Please be more careful using rollback, or it is liable to be removed from your account. Stifle (talk) 22:29, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Bullshit, I reverted spam. --MrStalker (talk) 22:48, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Not saying you didn't, but look at what you restored, particularly the last three sentences. Stifle (talk) 09:13, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
There was no obvious evidence of vandalism and the current revision was over a week old so I think it was fair to assume it wasn't vandalized, even though it had dubious unsourced content. You as an administrator should know the difference between unsourced material and vandalism. --MrStalker (talk) 11:55, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

RA3

Very well. Sorry for reverting your edits. I've never actually looked at a lot of the policies. Most of the ones I've encountered were obvious and others, like this one, I learn through doing and being smacked back down. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 16:29, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

No problem. --MrStalker (talk) 16:30, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Dominant minority

Can you please explain exactly how I "vandalized" the Dominant minority topic by adding the Philippines to the list of Southeast Asian countries where Chinese (Huáqiáo and Huayi alike) are marginalized politically but by and large controls the economy? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.227.192.191 (talk) 16:50, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Read the messages at your talk page. Unsourced content is not acceptable at Wikipedia. --MrStalker (talk) 16:53, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Well the whole section is unsourced! Delete it then. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.227.192.191 (talk) 16:59, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Maybe it should. --MrStalker (talk) 19:58, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

deleting Australian Rocketry Association INC

I would like to know why the New zealand rocketry club was allowed to have one of its members to do a listing ? and i can not do do one for my club ??

Wolflairviper (talk) 17:45, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

I don't know, I wasn't there. Doesn't change the fact. Please feel free to nominate the other article for deletion if you feel it violates NPOV. --MrStalker (talk) 11:39, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

AfD listing of Lancelin Boys Weekend

CSD is very limited to specific criteria. Are you criticizing me for taking the more conservative route and taking it to AfD? If you think it's that obvious put a CSD tag on it. You waste more time criticizing me than you do fixing the problem. CynofGavuf 11:32, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
