Mirrors edit

Thanks for contributing to the article Mulagori. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Sam Kuru (talk) 12:10, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Again, the en-academic site clearly identifies Wikipedia as the source of the material you are adding as a references. Please be more cautious with your sourcing - if there is any mention of Wikipedia, the material is likely copied. Sam Kuru (talk) 12:12, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank, man..
Well, I'm a new editor, and that's why it took me so long to finally come here, and read your messages...
I belongs to the mullagori tribe, and when i randomly search it on google and there was no info on wikipedia about our tribe, hence, i search a lot of books, journals, youtube and websites.. I didn't know that they are circular referencing.. Thanks for correcting me.. I need to learn a lot and i also need to add a lot of info to the article, but i'm short on references...
Hey, sir can you guide me, how can i build up my profile? I don't know where to begin. Like i have seen some editor's profile and they have a lot of badges like. First edit on wikipedia, 100 edits achievement etc etc, How can i add those to my profile?
How can i write some new articles, which are not on wikipedia?
And the main name, of mullagori, is spelled mulagori, which is i think wrong, it should be mullagori. It pronounced same, but the official name is mullagori. How to correct it's link and the title of the whole article? Javed Ullah MGI (MullaGHORI) (talk) 16:48, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Javed Ullah MGI (MullaGHORI)! Your additions to Mullagori Tehsil have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source. You must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. Read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Our policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 17:26, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
