March 2023 edit

Hello, I'm Slashme. I noticed that you recently removed content from 2023 MLS Next Pro season without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Articles consisting of nothing more than an infobox edit

Hello! I noticed that you created Keo-Oudone Souvannasangso (Now at Draft:Keo-Oudone Souvannasangso) and Roman Angot (now at Draft:Roman Angot). Both of those had the same problem, in that they consisted of nothing more than an infobox with no prose text and no sources. Please don't create articles in main space with no content or sources.

Also, with Draft:Roman Angot, there was a pre-existing draft which also consisted of nothing but an infobox. I'm not sure if you copied and pasted it or not when creating your version, but assuming you did, please don't do that - it's not how you move an article and it creates attribution problems. I have gone ahead and merged the histories of the two pages.

If you have any questions about any of this, let me know. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 17:19, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on Phoutthavong Sangvilay requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. April 2023 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Proposed deletion of 2023 Lao League 2 edit

The article 2023 Lao League 2 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability in terms of WP:GNG. Repeatedly recreated and has been speedy deleted and draftified in an identical state before.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please stop publishing articles that aren't ready edit

Hi, you've already been asked not to publish articles containing only an infobox. Please don't create more of them.

Also, please don't create multiple copies of the same article. And certainly don't create them by copypasting from the first copy, as that messes up the edit history.

Lastly, if you cannot tell whether a draft is ready to be published, then please don't go ahead and publish it; submit it for review at AfC, that's why that facility exists.

Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:33, 1 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
