How come this isn't working? Jaredtalk22:14, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

??? That's got me baffled... hold on, I'm going to try subst:'ing the generic userbox template. tiZom(2¢) 22:23, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
All set. Dunno what was going on, but I started from scratch, and it works now :o) tiZom(2¢) 22:37, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:April Fool's Main Page

edit

See [1]. You are mistaken, this is the 2006 version of the page, with the exception of the featured article that was changed to reflect the current Main Page. We are not going to be repeating year-old jokes. —Centrxtalk • 03:14, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry. I was just referring to the top bar and the On this day sections. I knew that the other ones were place holders. Jaredtalk03:18, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Having the content there from last year (disregarding the top bar) is confusing people. —Centrxtalk • 03:37, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yeah. I thought this went over well in the discussion phases, etc, but apparently not. I guess I was a little zealous, especially seeing as how every AFD we say we're going to do this, and we don't. But oh well. There will always be those who are against something, so you have to learn to live with it. If you ask me, I could care less about having something up for AFD. It'd be nice, but I was just trying to do what I thought others wanted. It seems to be the opposite. I appreciated working with you, though! I'm sure I'll talk to you around, sometime! Community Portal

edit

Sorry about the misinterpretation. I took mainspace as main page. I totally agree with the original posting! Again, sorry about that! (And once again, I do not condone vandalism!) Jaredtalk03:51, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay, thanks for clarifying.  :-) —David Levy 03:53, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, like I said above, I sort of feel like a jerk because I was just trying to do what I thought everyone else wanted, but I was totally off! Anyway, now that this is settled, I never want to talk to you again! :( Jaredtalk03:57, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Olympic Rings image

edit

I'm removing instances of the Olympic Rings images that appear in the user and template namespaces because it's listed as a Fair Use image. Just wanted to let you know that I took it off of User talk:Jared/sandbox4. tiZom(2¢) 21:19, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

100-Hour Plan

edit

Hello, Jared. I removed some language you added to 100-Hour Plan on March 28 saying that none of the measures of the plan have gotten further than passing the House. I am not sure where your information came from but it is well out of date. H.R. 2 (minimum wage increase) passed the Senate on February 1, and Sen. 4 (implementing 9/11 commission recommendations) passed the Senate on March 13. Andrew Levine 03:00, 5 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK, thanks. I was just trying to reword the no-doubt POV language that was already there. I hadn't realized that there were senate actions. Now, since these dates were so long ago, it seems that the president would have had to veto them by now (or they were at least pocketed, right)? Make sure to include, though, that none of the bills has become law yet. Jaredtalk13:21, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Workers Stadium

edit

Hi Jared! I do believe that the Workers Stadium is of high importance, when part of the Olympics project. But, if you wish we can wait for a while and see how other stadiums are assessed. --Poeloq 09:01, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals

edit

Hi Jared. Last year you mentioned you might be interested in a swimming WikiProject. There's a proposal currently being floated. Thanks, Blnguyen (bananabucket) 07:47, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello!

I'm sorry for my delay in replying! I haven't been on Wikipedia so much recently...and also for some reason my computer doesn't automatically log me in anymore... I'm interested in your idea...although admittedly I don't understand a lot of the abbreviations you wrote down! I wouldn't claim to be an expert on the details of the bids either...but I can try my best if you wish me to be a part of it. Jamandell (d69) 15:25, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
