I noticed your note at WT:CYR. If you found the names in official Olympics results, I would say that you are safe to go with those spellings. If someone competed in multiple games, prefer the later spellings, especially since after 1991 some people's names may have changed from Russian spellings to, e.g., Ukrainian.
