Welcome! edit

Hello, Jand1990, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Article issues edit

The text you added to the Stress (biology) article include passages that were copied with only slight changes from your sources. This was detected by automatic plagiarism detection software. For copyright reasons, this contribution had to be deleted. Remember that additions to Wikipedia need to be written entirely in your own words.

Please review the Plagiarism and Copyright training module before making additional edits to that article.

In addition, your additions were not well integrated into the article. For example, you added an extra lead section in front of the existing lead. You need to make sure that your additions are smoothly integrated into the article. Another issue is your addition of a section on stress eating. That's too specific for an article on biological stress broadly speaking. I think it might fit better into one of the articles in Category:Psychological stress.
