QAPF diagram

edit

I'm not entirely sure I understand why you are saying the QAPF diagram is not a true ternary diagram. Is it because it uses normalized totals instead of the whole rock composition or is there a different reason? TornadoLGS (talk) 02:39, 25 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello I have never sent a message in wiki, just tried but perhaps did it wrong. See final edit if QAPF page and hopefully you will see why QAPF is not true ternary diagram. There is general confusion about correct usage, which I am trying to put right. Happy if anyone wants to elaborate, but I have at least given a correct worked example. You did it right. If you want to refer to a specific edit you can go to the page history and compare selected revisions, which will provide a URL for the selected difference. Like this [1]. Just be careful when viewing previous version of a page, as editing an earlier version of a page will undo any edits that were made afterward. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:05, 25 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks I will use it sparingly. Anyway hopefully the QAPF diagram now makes more sense. Jamtrees2017 (talk) 01:04, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
