Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from The Wizard of Oz (1939 film). Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thanks, and happy editing.

Somehow your false claim that The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a fable was retained for some time on The Wizard of Oz (1939 film). Please do not make this change again. If you read the fable page and have any familiarity with what Baum wrote, you will see that you're claim of the book as a "fable" ignores all definitions. --Scottandrewhutchins 14:18, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Winonaryderedwardscisorhands.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Winonaryderedwardscisorhands.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:10, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Your edits to The Ice Storm

edit

I have reverted your additions to the plot on this article for several reasons, the main one being that you copy-and-pasted it from the film's article page. That is both plagiarism and incorrect; the book does differ from the novel in many respects, and so much of what you added was factually incorrect. Please be more careful in your edits in the future. I also second what the user above stated in that it would be helpful for you to include edit summaries in the future. Thank you. María (habla conmigo) 14:19, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Lovely Bones

edit

I have become the latest person to revert some edits of yours, it seems. In this case, I removed the list of film credits you appended to Peter Jackson's name since that practice, while common in film and entertainment magazines, is not how we do things here. I also changed "production" to "preproduction" in the intro since a movie can only be considered in production when it has been cast and cameras are rolling, neither of which are true yet in this instance. Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello James Morton (User)! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 874 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
