September 2009 edit

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to User talk:PMDrive1061. RaseaC (talk) 18:58, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I am a volunteer administrator on this site. I often scan new pages as they come in and when something doesn't meet the guidelines for inclusion, I can delete it. I am not being mean at all; you simply can't write about yourself here. Neither can I, for that matter. This link can give you a better idea of what I mean. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:00, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • No, it's OK. Of course you can question me or anyone else on this site. As an administrator, I'm still held to the same standards as everyone else here. If I mess up, I can be called on it...and I often have been.  :) Good luck with your career. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:07, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, you can. However, the pictures must be in the public domain or something you took yourself. Certain things like book covers, movie posters, album covers and film stills can be uploaded under a "fair use" clause. There are two ways to upload a picture. You can upload it to this site by clicking on the "Upload file" tab in the toolbox on your left. The second way is to establish an account on the Wikimedia Commons. There you can upload image files for general use on all Wikia and Wikimedia projects, not to mention the free use of the images by anyone who wishes to use them. WP:IMAGE has the instructions for adding the image to an article. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:16, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:13, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
