  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the   button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.

References formatting

edit

Hi Jaike, hope you are doing well. Thank you very much for your referencing of the 347 BC article, really nice work. I wanted to let you know that it's common practice to include a link to the book/article/website used in a reference and this can be done very easily with the cite button in the visual editor and by adding either the ISBN (or a number of other terms, the Cite button spells it out very nicely) or the Google Books link (WorldCat has some quirks to it so I tend to use Gbooks although it's not perfect). I have added the links so that the click-through is easier for readers interested in perusing the sources. If you have any questions about referencing, please feel free to reach out to me and happy editing! We are delighted to have you :) Best, Kazamzam (talk) 15:46, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Kazamzam Great, I'll try that out and I'll include links for books. Thanks! JaikeV (talk) 13:31, 23 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, JaikeV. Thank you for your work on Peterhof (Novgorod). User:Tails Wx, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Hey there! Good work on the article! I do think it might need a bit more citations for some unsourced paragraphs; but other than that, it looks good!

@Tails Wx: Thanks! Yes, it's still work in progress and I'm working on getting more references in there. JaikeV (talk) 13:08, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
No worries! Keep up the good work! Tails Wx 01:37, 7 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Tails Wx: Do you think the article has enough references now? JaikeV (talk) 11:07, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
I still think more references can be added! There's some sentences without citations. Good work, though! Tails Wx 13:46, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Tails Wx: Yes, but many of them are supported by references after following sentences. Like, "Slavic and Scandinavian trade" is completely covered by reference 3. Should every sentence have its own references? JaikeV (talk) 11:15, 26 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oh! No, you don't need a reference for every sentence, as they are already covered by sources in the paragraph. On a second skim, it looks good! Tails Wx 12:10, 26 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
