Speedy deletion nomination of Brian Germain

Speedy deletion request for Brian Germain

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for letting me know about your concerns about the speedy deletion request on Brian Germain. Unfortunately, as the article now stands, it does not demonstrate his notability according o WP:GNG. You are free to contest this deletion and it may well be reverted by another editor. But, if you don't credibly demonstrate why this person is notable according to the established Wikipedia notability guidelines, it may well be nominated again for deletion. To explain further the notability requirement, it is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones like his publishers, and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people unconnected with the subject thought him imprtant and significant enough to write substantial comment about?
