Misrepresentation of a source at West Fertilizer Company explosion edit
Please read the source you are citing [1] in the West Fertilizer Company explosion article. It is a guest blog, by a person who states that "I am not an expert in the field of explosives and these are back-of-the-envelop estimations on my part". He also makes entirely clear that the 1.2 kilotonne figure is only one possibility. Regarding this figure, he states "Keep in mind this is the size of the explosion only if all the ammonia were to go off. It’s more likely that much of that 54,000 pounds remained unexploded in tanks, exacerbated another explosion, or escaped into the air." Note also that his 'mushroom cloud' estimate suggests "a nearly one-kiloton blast", while his estimate based on ammonium nitrate gives "an explosive yield about 10 times less, or about 100 tons of TNT". It is simply a misrepresentation of the source to quote only the 1.2 kilotonne figure. The blog contributor makes no definitive claims, and neither should Wikipedia. I suggest that you revert your edit, before I raise this issue elsewhere. I would also advise you to read our policy on edit warring, and note that when an edit is reverted you are expected to discuss the matter on the relevant talk page, rather than repeating the edit. Use of edit summaries edit

Tense guidelines edit
Regarding "is" verses "was" for aircraft and military equipment that are no longer in service, the relevant guideline is WP:MOSTENSE:
- By default, write articles in the present tense, including for those covering products or works that have been discontinued.... Generally, do not use past tense except for deceased subjects, past events, and subjects that no longer meaningfully exist as such.
As long as the aircraft or equipment still exist in some form such as a flying surviving aircraft or on display somewhere, "is" is appropriate. Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 07:11, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
