Wikimedia South Africa AGM: 28 November

Hello, as an active editor on South African topics and who appears to be based in South Africa Wikimedia ZA would like to invite you to join the Wikimedia South Africa Annual General Meeting on the 28 November 2015. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. Wikipedia Capacity Building Workshop

Wikimedia South Africa will be hosting Asaf Bartov from the Wikimedia Foundation for 5 days where he will be conducting a series of Capacity Building Workshops in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The workshops are aimed at addressing challenges faced by African Wikimedians and share tools that will enable them to better increase African content. In Johannesburg the workshops will take place on 25 - 26 May 2018 at the Goethe Institut, and in Cape Town Asaf will be meeting Wikimedians on 29 May 2018. AfroCine: Join us for the Months of African Cinema in October!

In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.
