If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. Beware original research

Hello Jackasskidzify. Thank you for stopping changing the conservation status in animal articles as I requested. It's good that you're now working on adding content to articles.

Unfortunately, there is still a problem. Wikipedia has a policy of no original research, which means that everything we say needs to be documented in a reliable published source. This is our way of making sure that we don't say things that sound plausible but are actually wrong. Any claim you make in an article can be challenged, and if you can't show where you got it from, it can be deleted. Some cases:

1. Long-tailed Hopping Mouse: User:Mgiganteus1 was right to revert your first edits here for the reason he gave at the time, but what you wrote about the owl pellet made me suspect you might be on to something, so I researched it, found some sources and wrote them up. In doing that I was giving you some belief, and it was very disappointing to see it wasted and the same wrong information put back in. Please will you consider restoring it, or giving your agreement to my doing so?
2. Darling Downs Hopping Mouse: You are right that the Paradise Parrot is extinct and the Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat is Critically Endangered (note spelling), but what is your source for the statement that many animals from that area have either gone extinct or become CE? (Over the history of the earth, almost everywhere will have had lots of extinctions, but what singles Queensland out for special mention about this?)
3. Barbary lion: You inserted "It is beleived that the Barbary Lion may have inspired The Sphinx at Giza". I've researched this and find no evidence. Where did you get it from? (The theory that comes most often is that its head depicts that of a pharaoh).

Last specimens of long-tailed hopping mouse

Hello J. Some sources say 1901 and some say 1901-02, so I've rewritten the sentence to acknowlege both views. We aren't really able to determine which is accurate. Can you accept that way of describing it?

The IUCN reference (ref 2 in the article) does say "very few".

"The long-tailed hopping mouse was mainly gray in colour with small pink ears and big eyes with long hairy pink tail about two inches longer than its own body." Where did you get so much detail? The article really needs a citation for it.

I've removed the speedy deletion tag and pointed out to Pstanton that it won't be a hoax when Google Scholar gives over 200 hits for Robert von Beringe. But, if you do want to create articles, you really must learn how to give citations for them and how to do wikilinks, and take care over grammar and spelling. D. s. sumatrensis

Hi there! You may not be aware that your recently created article on D. s. sumatrensis is, in effect, a recreation of an an article of this sub-species, which was previously merged back into the main article on the Sumatran Rhinoceros. Since there doesn't appear to have been a consensus to recreate stand-alone articles for these sub-species, I propose merging D. s. sumatrensis into the main article. If you disagree with this, may I suggest that you discuss this with other editors on the main article talk page.
