Managing a conflict of interest

  Hello, JackReynolds05Singer. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Jack Reynolds, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DBaK (talk) 17:15, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

HELP

I want to change my username from JackReynolds05Singer to Reynolds Jack. Is that possible? JackReynolds05Singer (talk) 21:07, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

See WP:RENAME. Pahunkat (talk) 21:08, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Taylor Swift

Hey Jack! I wanted to let you know that I reverted your edits to Lover (album) and Reputation (Taylor Swift album), and am about to list Category:Lover as well as Category:Reputation at categories for discussion. I did this because the entire purpose of categories is to sort articles. There are already categories that sort Taylor Swift songs, like Category:Taylor Swift songs. Because of this, it’s usually not a good idea to create album-specific categories. Thanks! D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 21:36, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Reputation

A tag has been placed on Category:Reputation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Jack Reynolds draft

Hey Jack! I hope this doesn't feel like spam, I'm not trying to bombard your talk page with messages. I just wanted to let you know that I made some bold edits to Draft:Jack Reynolds (singer). I know that you started the page, so out of courtesy, I wanted to let you know, as you seemed inactive on that page. Thanks! D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 21:32, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

I was recently editing Swift's and Perry's External Links, and I was wondering if Spotify, Apple Music, and such would be "consider" as an External Links. I want to say no, but I'm not sure. Jack Reynolds(talk) 21:58, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

Please read WP:EXTERNAL. It is Wikipedia's policy on external links. It details what should/should not be in the "External links" section. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 22:18, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

New Question

Okay, I'm so sorry for so many questions. BUT—I think this one is an important one—is there a list(or even a wiki article) that has stuff that needs to be done—or even completed? If so, can you let me know! I want to help! AND, yes I'm a noobie, but I'm a fast learner! Jack Reynolds(talk to me!) 23:02, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

It’s fine, no need to apologize. Book:Katy Perry needs to be updated to include the Smile era. I suggest looking at Book:Taylor Swift and Book:Dua Lipa to see what up-to-date books should look like. As well, I see you joined the Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa WikiProjects. I suggest you look through all of those and see what you should do as a new member of those projects. Thank you so much for being such a big help! BTW your new signature is awesome! D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 23:08, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

Crescent City (series) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Crescent City (series), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 03:21, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

Oh.... that's how you do it! Thank you User:discopinster!!  Jack Reynolds(talk to me!)  03:23, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
If you want to start an article in draft space, go to WP:DRAFT and then enter the title of the article where it says "Create a new draft". ... discospinster talk 16:32, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you soooo much!! And I will keep that in mind!
