Lead sections/sentences

edit

Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. I wanted to tell you that the MOS:BIO doesn't include the place of birth in the lead section, and especially the lead sentence. This is properly noted in the infobox and in the opening section of the main article body, such as an "Early life" section for example. The articles that do include the place of birth will most likely either be stubs or the place of birth should be moved to the early life sections. Nationality may be mentioned in the lead section, but that is limited to country, such as American, English, Australian, etc. Thanks and again, welcome. Racism

edit

As the saying goes "If the shoe fits, wear it". Guess it's true since you had to reply on my wall. Do me a favor and do not post anything on my wall. I don't talk to ignorant racists. Thanks for your understanding. :)--XLR8TION (talk) 22:40, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

I find it very telling that you characterize your fellow Puerto Ricans (ah, look at that... I'm not a redneck after all...) as "racist" when they disagree with you about what it means to be a Puerto Rican. As if you're somehow empowered to tell every other Puerto Rican on the planet what it means to be Puerto Rican. That's arrogant. On top of it all, it's racist arrogance to boot. So in response to your "request", all I can tell you is to bite me, Frodo...JackFloridian (talk) 21:15, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • This will be the final warning I am giving you on posting anything on my talk page. Please take it seriously. Won't repeat it again. Ignorant people should use topic discussion page where an active conversation is taking place now.--XLR8TION (talk) 22:15, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are right, characterization of a person as an "ignorant" vandal and continued accusations of racism is uncivil. That is why I mentioned in Zayas talk page that a standard of civility must be maintained and that we should avoid involving political opinions and stick to the subject. You know, between you and I, I have always hated that type of discussion because politics and religion are subjects where everyone is and everyone is wrong depending on the perspective. Anyway, I will leave a message in XLR8TION's asking him to keep a "Coll head" and to avoid confrontations. Tony the Marine (talk) 23:56, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi, JackFloridian!

My name is DogLover 123, and I am stupid! Well, stupid enough to ask you this question: are you from Florida? According to your name, yes. There's something wrong with my account thing, so please don't reply to me on my talk page. Reply, if you don't mind, on the Treacle Tart talk page on which I first met you. So that nobody else understands you, write back to me in this code:
