Comment on "there are no races" userbox edit

Hey dude. I've heard this theory that races don't exist before and I'm still wrapping my head around it. I guess at this point I believe that race is based mainly on social construct as well as appearance, language, culture etc. Ernestleonard 00:58, 19 May 2006 (UTC) (Known as "Popcorn" on TFS)Reply

Minoan Civilization edit

While there is some question on the purposes of the palace complexes (and 'manors' etc), there is no indication of there not being a civilization. Nor have I heard that particular theory before... the debate tends to rage over whether they WERE palaces (similar to, say, mycenean citadel), or religious centers, or civic centers of some other sort, or rabbit warren style villages... I know this is a while ago, but I came across a book on the minoans that had the necropolis theory. It was a good, interesting book, but it was written by an interested amateur...but it was not a scholarly work. It was by a rodney castledon or something like that, if you're still wondering. German Wikipedia edit

Hi, your user page says: "the German [Wikipedia] concept doesn't fit my imagination of a neutral and equitable gathering of knowledge." Tell me more. How does the German Wikipedia differ and what do you like and not like about how it operates? --Macrakis 18:04, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your input would be appreciated :). --YbborTalk 13:52, 2 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
