I have written a draft and posted it on submissions page, I will be glad if you read and rate it. MBH (talk) 11:05, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I also want to ask, what means "deadline" counters on submission page? Should the draft be read and accepted for publication before they will reach the end? MBH (talk) 12:24, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Why can't people see that these are just funny!? As well as politely note the existence of non-WP views. Oh well, annoying non-WP-article publishers do have a handicap in this context. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:32, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

I suppose it may actually literally warrant setting up a redirect at {{Press mention WHICH DOES NOT IN ANY WAY INTEND TO ENDORSE CONDONE OR CONDEMN THE WEBSITE}}. jp×g🗯️ 18:32, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Switching back to an earlier topic, "old news". Just found this [18], date per article "8 hours ago". But it was very familiar, and sure, I cited it in Enhanced Games in January. Same url and everything. Weird. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 06:26, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Comic?

edit

I wasn't sure how to submit this to the Signpost, so I'm bugging you on your talk page instead. I made a comic for the Signpost (File:Signpost comic Cremastra.png), but I'm not sure if it's actually funny or not. Your call. Cheers, Cremastra (talk) 16:27, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Signpost blurb

edit

Hey, not sure who writes the column that this would best go in, but I figure you can delegate. A Welsh historian recently published a YouTube video about a Victorian-era hoax that made it into a Wikipedia article and lingered until he discussed it. Seems like the kind of thing that often gets a short blurb. Compassionate727 (T·C) 21:27, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Heck, I guess I could write a blurb. I've already watched the thing. Compassionate727 (T·C) 21:51, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Notification of notification

edit

Hi, JPxG! The notifications system sent me an unexpected notification (given what you did), and I thought I'd let you know in case you were unaware. You restored a previous revision of Stephen Hsu using Twinkle, specifically one prior to an edit I made to the article. Even though you didn't use the built-in "undo" on my edit, and my username is not mentioned your edit summary, I still got a notification that you undid my edit. I certainly was not aware that restoring revisions like this would ping me, so I thought you would like to know. If you were already aware, please excuse the interruption to your day. Have a good one. Thank you, Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 02:43, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, reverts are weird like that: sometimes you get a ping two years after you make an edit because some totally unrelated series of later edits happens to bring the article back to the same content as your revision! Ah well -- such is life. jp×g🗯️ 02:59, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Template:Blink requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2022_September_13#Template:Blink. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:06, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

JPxG, removing the speedy deletion tag yourself was ignoring the directions of Jonesey95's tag at best (violation of WP:SPEEDY) and a violation of WP:INVOLVED at worst. I do happen to with the third point given in your edit summary – that this template has uses and therefore addresses the reason for deletion given in the previous discussion – but that doesn't mean you should have jumped the gun. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 17:53, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
