Guinness family and Clontarf note added to Raheny edit

Hi, John Patten of the Clontarf Select Vestry? I have returned the note: Prior to the construction of All Saints the Guinness family attended the Church of Ireland Parish of Clontarf where a number of the family members were baptised and subsequently confirmed. to the References section of the Raheny article, which you had reverted. There is nothing wrong with the note, but it belongs in articles on the Church of Ireland in Clontarf or on the Guinness family only. It has nothing to do with Raheny, and I almost deleted it totally, but if it means that much, perhaps it can stay in notes. Well done on the article on Clontarf's CoI parish. I also hope to do more work on faith communities in north Dublin, a topic group I had not been sure was valid here before. Twilson r 21:50, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello TWilson, just getting used to this Wikipedia business so you will have to forgive me if I don't get it quite right for now. I am not sure if I would quite agree that your edit is the right course of action. I am a newbie and a bit of a checker when unsure so I have asked for advice on it and will accept the direction that comes back.

On faith communities - I think there is a fascinating history behind these in the area and I have always been taken with the great relationships and mixing that have always been here in Clontarf - not just now in the present time. We are anxious that the C of I story here has a chance to be seen with everyone elses so that is why we put the entry in. I think we may be the first Southern parish to do a comprehensive page. I think the Wikipedia project is utterly fascinating and I can only see it getting better. Thanks for the interest and the very best of luck with your own projects. --JPatten 22:10, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Medialink edit

The article Medialink has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unclear whether this company is still operating. Unclear whether or how, if it is operating, it is (or ever was) notable under the WP:COMPANY guidelines. I can find passing mentions of the subject in press releases and news stories and trade directories. Which confirm that it exists/existed to sell advertising for Channel 4 in Ireland. But nothing to indicate that it was/is anything other than a small run-of-the-mill media advertising business...

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
