There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Vanjagenije (talk) 16:50, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

You have pointed out two problems with my account: first, my user name and second, the use. As for the user name, I understand why my account was blocked. I will no longer use the user name “JP KOM GmbH”, which indeed refers to an organization, but “Kunz at JPKOM”, referring to myself as just one person. As for the deletion of my user page because of unambiguous advertising or promotion – this is not what I intend to do or something that I have even done yet. In contrast, I intend to make neutral contributions based on reliable sources, to improve the article, as do other individuals on Wikipedia. I am fully aware of Wikipedia’s terms of use and the guidelines on conflicts of interest, which is why, in all fairness, I have pointed out that JPKOM, my employer, does get compensated for providing a more accurate article on the Braas Monier Building Group. I kindly ask you to unblock my user page and change the name.

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Vanjagenije (talk) 12:03, 2 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

You say that you are fully aware of Wikipedia’s [...] guidelines on conflicts of interest. Can you explain how you understand WP:COI (especially the part that says "COI editing is strongly discouraged"). How do you intend to improve the article while respecting the COI policy? Vanjagenije (talk) 13:17, 22 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Vanjagenije: The now-deleted userpage to me looks like just the disclosure we would expect (excepting the "shared use" issue). The explanation at Talk:Braas Monier Building Group does seem consistent with the COI policy to me. I'm not sure I see the "promotional edits" part of this block, and I don't see how the userpage satisfied G11 or G5.
That said, I'm not sure "Kunz at JPKOM" represents much of an individual. See de:Hinz und Kunz (a GmbH is a German company with limited liability, so German is relevant here). Huon (talk) 01:07, 23 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Vanjagenije: I really don't intend to add any promotional edits - I just think that the article could really be more accurate. I have entirely neutral information and I intend to improve the article by updating it and introducing more precise citations. For instance, I would add some facts on the corporate structure, typical products and the way they are tested in the Technical Centre (e.g. wind tunnel), as well as on the company history. I would upload some photos, too. @Huon: Kunz is an abbreviation of my family name (it has nothing to do with German Hinz and Kunz, at least not that I am aware of ;-). @Vanjagenije: Thank you for accepting my reason for changing my user name. What is my next step supposed to be, am I to change it myself or will an administrator do this? JP KOM GmbH (talk) 07:50, 3 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your next step is explained in the green box above. Vanjagenije (talk) 09:10, 3 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
