- YW. We have no formal welcoming system. Like the whole project, welcoming gets done by those who notice the need, and then do it. Occasionally, some jobs get done later than others.
- I noticed this edit of yours, which was promptly reverted, if somewhat impolitely. I recommend that you read WP:V. Verifiability will come into play almost every time you change the meaning of a sentence. You did mention Britannica in your edit summary, which was very good. But physical measurements like this are almost always challenged, so best practice is including an inline citation right from start.
